SaltDogg® SHPE1000 Poly Hopper Spreader

The SaltDogg® SHPE1000 is a heavy-duty, fully self-contained spreader designed for ice and snow control using salt or salt/sand mixes. Built for durability, ease of installation, and high performance, it’s ideally suited for pickup trucksand trailer applications.

• Vehicle Compatibility:

  • Fits securely into all crew cab pickups such as Navara, Ranger, HiLux, Amarok

  • Can also be mounted on your own trailer or on a dedicated chassis trailer

• Material Hopper:

  • Constructed from rotationally moulded double-wall polymer

  • Smooth angled walls prevent material bridging and improve flow

  • Integrated tie-down points and 4-piece ratchet tie-down kit

  • Forklift slots for simple loading and installation

• Auger System:

  • 65mm screw-type auger runs the full hopper length

  • Ensures consistent and controlled material delivery

  • Controlled via an independent auger/spinner console with adjustable flow ratios

• Material Flow Rates:

  • Salt: 2.2 cu. ft./minute

  • Salt/Sand Mix: 1.3 cu. ft./minute

  • Spread Width: Adjustable from 1 to 12 metres

• Spinner Chute Assembly:

  • 300mm polymer spinner disc on a 20mm shaft

  • Enclosed polymer chute with stainless steel trough

  • Wide, adjustable deflector for total spread control and vehicle protection

  • Quick-release spring-latch system for easy removal and cleaning

    • Standard spinner height: 467mm

• Electric Drive System:

  • Two 12V DC direct-drive motors (ultra-quiet)

  • Enclosed in a heavy-duty poly housing with two independent vibrators

  • Powered by 10-gauge automotive wiring with non-combustible sheathing (-50°C to +105°C)

  • In-cab control unit: separate controls for auger, spinner, and vibrator

• Included Equipment:

  • 6mm black powder-coated steel top screen (blocks large material lumps)

  • Heavy-duty poly-vinyl cover with reinforced corners

  • Ratchet strap hold-down kit

  • 12VDC vibrator rated at 210 lbs-force for maximum performance

  • All wiring, controller, and motor included as standard
