SALTDOGG SPREADER 765 LITRE - SHPE1000

The SHPE series of SaltDogg® salt spreaders are completely self-contained, ultra-durable spreader units designed for ice and snow control. The rugged design allows for use with salt or salt/sand mix. 

The complete assembly mounts easily on a range of vehicles but the SHPE1000 is ideal for mounting onto a pick-up and fits into all crew cab types, such as Navara, Ranger, HiLux, Amarok. Alternatively, it can be mounted on your own trailer or our chassis trailer. This makes it ideal for municipalities, shopping centres, industrial estates, car parks, hospitals and private contractors.

Material Hopper – Rotationally moulded double-wall polymer uni-body spreader with smooth angled walls to maximise material flow, and prevent bridging. It features integrated tie down points and comes with a 4-piece ratchet tie-down kit. The hopper has fork lift slots for easy lifting and installation.

Auger – 65mm diameter screw-type auger system travels the length of the hopper floor, providing maximum material flow at a continuous rate. An independent spinner/auger controller allows for both independent spinner speed and an infinitely adjustable ratio between spinner and auger.

Material Flow/Output – Salt, 2.2 cu. ft./minute; Salt/Sand, 1.3 cu. ft./minute. Spread width is variable from 1 to 12 metres.

Spinner Chute Assembly – A 300mm polymer disc is connected to a 20mm diameter shaft. The spreading material is guided from the stainless steel trough to the spinner plate through an enclosed heavy-duty polymer chute and spinner assembly with an external deflector. The extra-wide adjustable deflector protects the vehicle and allows for complete directional spread control and full or compact spread. Total spread path ranges from 1 to 12 metres. A convenient spring-latch locking mechanism allows the spinner assembly to be removed for cleaning or storage.

Extended Chute Assembly - The SHPE1000X model spreader comes with an extended chute, this is makes it easier to achieve the optimum spinner height when mounting on higher vehicles. The standard chute puts the spinner disk at 467mm from the base of the gritter, the extended chute adds 300mm to this making 767mm from base of gritter to spinner. 

Electric Motors – Two ultra-quiet 12-volt DC direct-drive motors power the auger and spinner, and are encased in a heavy-duty poly housing along with two independently powered vibrators. The wiring harness is constructed of 10-gauge automotive wire with non-combustible sheathing (-50°C to +105°C). An in-cab console features independent controls for the auger, spinner and vibrator.

Standard Equipment – 6mm black powder coated steel top screen, to screen out large lumps. A Heavy-duty poly-vinyl cover with reinforced corners and tie-down kit. Heavy-duty 12 VDC vibrator, rated at 210 of force pounds for maximum performance, ratchet strap hold-down kit.
